The LAAX OPEN will take place from January 16 to 21, 2024. Since 2023, this world-renowned freestyle event has included freeskiing in addition to snowboarding. Around 300 freestylers from the World Cup circuit are looking forward to showing off their skills in the perfect pipe and innovative park at Crap Sogn Gion in this high-stakes international contest. In 2024, the full, free supporting program that makes up the Open Events will be back: DJ sets and live concerts in the rocksresort Village, LAAX Art+Culture at the Riders Hotel, the Day Party on the mountain, and much more.
The absolute highlight will be the night final in the superpipe on January 20, 2024. The two slopestyle competitions also promise excitement and surprises in the preliminary rounds (January 16-19, 2024) and final decisions – snowboarders will compete on Saturday, January 20, 2024, and freeskiers on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 1:15 p.m. for the awarding of the trophies.
Further information such as rider lists, program details, and music acts can be found at www.laax.com/open.
The defending champion's first appearance in slopestyle freeski is eagerly awaited: LAAX local Andri Ragettli will enter the competition on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, and hopes—unlike defending snowboard champion Marcus Kleveland—to reach the next round.
The qualifying rounds can be watched via livestream at www.laax.com/dropin, which will make you want to come to Laax, Graubünden, in person at the weekend. If you can't make it, the finals will be broadcast on SRF, RTS, RSI, and RTR, i.e. on all public channels in Switzerland.
