More color, more life, more awareness: With its wildflower campaign, the Greenstyle Foundation has once again sent a strong message this year in support of biodiversity in urban areas. A total of 650 wildflower bricks were given out free of charge to locals and second home owners in Flims, Laax, Falera, Trin, and Sagogn – transforming numerous gardens, balconies, and open spaces into blooming habitats.
The aim of the campaign is to promote biodiversity in a targeted manner and to provide new habitats for endangered wild bee and butterfly species. The approximately 30 cm large BIO-certified bricks contain native, perennial wildflower species – bedded on a sheep's wool mat that acts as a natural long-term fertilizer. Whether in the garden, on rough pasture or in large pots: the bricks are easy to use and take effect immediately.
A contribution with long-term impact
The campaign has now been carried out for the third time and is part of a long-term commitment: by 2030, several thousand square meters of new flowering areas are to be created in the region. With the distribution of wildflower bricks now in its third year, the goal is gradually becoming more tangible.
Why wildflowers?
Wildflowers in their original form are not only easy to care for, but also particularly valuable from an ecological perspective. They provide food and habitat for numerous insect species and help to counteract invasive neophytes. At the same time, they bring diversity and color to everyday life—and allow nature to be experienced firsthand.
Working together for greater biodiversity
The wildflower campaign is a joint project of the Greenstyle Foundation, supported by the Weisse Arena Group and committed individuals and companies from the region. The lively participation this year shows that awareness of ecological issues is growing, and with it the willingness to make a contribution in one's own environment.

The Greenstyle Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 by the Weisse Arena Group. Since then, the Weisse Arena Group has supported the foundation in various measures to raise funds. The donated money is used to support charitable projects in the region in cooperation with committed individuals and local businesses.
