The Greenstyle Foundation's early bloomers campaign aims to create thousands of square meters of new flowering areas by 2030 in order to promote biodiversity and allow our Alpine destination to blossom in colorful splendor.
With this multi-year campaign, we want to motivate locals and second-home owners to let their gardens, balconies, and terraces blossom. Even small private gardens or terraces have valuable potential to promote biodiversity in urban areas. Together, we have already planted 700 wildflower bricks and 6,000 crocuses, snowdrops, and snowflakes. Now the campaign is entering its next phase with 6,000 early bloomers. The resulting flowers are not only the first splashes of color in spring, but also serve as important sources of nectar for bumblebees and wild bees. Planting is simple and requires no special knowledge.
Planting the tubers
Planted in the fall, they bloom in all their glory in the spring!
- The small tubers should be in the ground by the end of November at the latest.
- As undemanding flowers, they can be planted on lawns, in natural gardens or rough pastures, and even in large flower boxes. The ideal location is in partial shade, but they also tolerate full shade well. Waterlogging should be avoided to prevent rot.
- They are perennial and spread on their own if the wilted leaves are not mowed too early.
- It is best to plant the tubers individually or in small groups. Simply make holes in the lawn or open soil. The holes should be about 5 cm deep. Plant the tuber with the pointed end facing upwards and cover lightly with soil or turf.

Interested parties can order 1 to 2 bags containing approx. 30 tubers each by emailing greenstyle@laax.com from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 27, 2024. When ordering, please also indicate whether you would like to pick up the bags at the Bergbahninfo in Laax or at Stenna Flims at Inés Essentials. After receiving confirmation, the bags can be picked up at the desired location from Monday, October 28 to Saturday, November 9, 2024. Please present the confirmation email when picking up your order.

- Opening hours for Laax mountain railway information at rocksresort: daily from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Terms and conditions of participation
The campaign is aimed at residents (both permanent and seasonal) of Flims, Laax, Falera, Sagogn, and Trin. The tubers must be planted in the region. They will be allocated on a first come, first served basis after orders have been received by email.
Greenstyle Foundation
The Greenstyle Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 by the Weisse Arena Group. Since then, the Weisse Arena Group has supported the foundation in various measures to raise funds. The donated money is used to support charitable projects in the region in cooperation with committed individuals and local businesses.
