As a hotel and catering management assistant with a Federal VET Diploma, your working day will be as varied as your field of work. Whether in the restaurant, room service, housekeeping, or reception, in addition to planning general hotel operations, your primary focus will be on ensuring the well-being of guests, and you will gain insight into all departments of a hotel.

As a hotel communications specialist EFZ, the hotel is your stage and the guests are your fans. During your training as a hotel communications specialist, everything revolves around communication. To give you an understanding of how everything comes together behind the scenes, you will start your training by working in the kitchen and in housekeeping. You will then be ready for guest services and will work in service and at the reception desk.

As a certified restaurant specialist, you warmly welcome guests and escort them to their table. In short, you ensure that guests feel well looked after. You know everything there is to know about food and drink and advise guests on their choices. Behind the scenes, you can prepare simple dishes yourself and mix a variety of cocktails. You also maintain and clean the facilities, machines, and equipment in the restaurant area.

As a certified chef, you will surprise guests with your work every day! You plan the daily schedule, receive fresh and prepared products, and check that the quality is impeccable. You will learn how to prepare tasty dishes from high-quality, seasonal ingredients and arrange them attractively on the plate. You will also ensure that the workflow between the kitchen and service staff runs smoothly.

As a cable car operator EBA, you operate and monitor cable cars. You sell tickets, provide information, and accompany guests during the ride. You can also fix minor malfunctions and help with the maintenance of the facilities and machines.

As a cable car mechatronics engineer EFZ, you are jointly responsible for the safe operation of cable car systems in a cable car company. You check and repair systems and machines. You are in contact with guests at the cable car stations.
