Personnel change in the top management of the Weisse Arena Group

From May 1, 2020, Weisse Arena AG will be the new operating company of the Weisse Arena Group, which will be formed from the merger of its subsidiaries Weisse Arena Bergbahnen AG, Weisse Arena Gastro AG, Weisse Arena Leisure AG, and Mountain Adventure AG. Reto Gurtner, President and Delegate of the Board of Directors, will focus more strongly on the future strategic direction of the company.

With the appointment of Markus Wolf, Weisse Arena AG is taking another step forward in its long-term strategy. The former managing director of Swiss-Ski is a proven leader with an excellent reputation and an extensive network, and his return to the region is a welcome one. Born in Ems, he now lives in Chur and has known the Flims Laax Falera region well since his childhood and youth. As the head of operations, Wolf will continue to drive forward the transformation of the company into an even more attractive and sustainable business. "I am very excited to be able to invest my skills and passion in the further development of Weisse Arena AG starting next spring," said Wolf about his new challenge. "It is incredibly wonderful for me to now return professionally to the place where I learned to ski as a teenager."

The transfer of operational management of Weisse Arena AG to new hands will enable Reto Gurtner to focus more closely on the future strategic direction of his life's work. He will increasingly drive forward innovation projects, establish profitable partnerships, and support internal transformation processes. Gurtner on his new role: "By handing over the operational business to Markus Wolf, I can devote my energy to strategic aspects and thus make a significant contribution to making Weisse Arena AG the most attractive employer in the region and one of the most innovative tourism companies in the Alps."

At the same time, the current COO Flavio Battaini will be starting his own company in the field of HR technology. Over the past two and a half years, Flavio Battaini has played a key role in successfully driving forward various projects within the company, thereby strengthening the brands of Weisse Arena AG, which stand for unforgettable holiday experiences and a special attitude to life.
