LAAX OPEN presented by Zalando: Mia Brookes and Cameron Spalding are the snowboard slopestyle champions

Mia Brookes and Cameron Spalding are the LAAX OPEN 2025 Slopestyle Champions at the FIS Snowboard World Cup in Laax and take home most of the CHF 70,000 prize money.

What a birthday present: Mia Brookes wins the traditional LAAX OPEN in slopestyle! Accompanied by the applause of thousands of spectators along the course and against a unique 360° mountain panorama, she wins her first LAAX OPEN title and is the youngest ever to do so.

Olympic champion Zoi Sadowsky-Synnott jumps into second place. Japan's Kokomo Murase secures third place with a narrow lead of just under one point ahead of Anna Gasser, who narrowly misses out on the podium in LAAX for the first time in years.

There was also a maiden victory for Cameron Spalding in the men's event. After finishing third last year, he took top spot in 2025. Completing the podium were 2018 Olympic champion Red Gerard (USA) in second place and Noah Vicktor from Team Germany, who finished in the top three at a World Cup event for the first time. "The course is awesome. I love LAAX, every year. It's just a course that's not basic. The Snowpark LAAX crew always brings their own touch to it. That's great." Jonas Hasler (SUI, 5th) achieved a top result.

Mia Brookes lives part-time in Laax, is an LAAX Rider, and is a snowboarder with heart and soul. The victory in Laax is a dream result for the young Brit as well as for the organizers. Compliments come from Olympian Zoi Sydowski-Synnott to Mia Brookes, who turns 18 on Sunday: "Mia is on fire right now. She rides so smoothly and stylishly."
