The LAAX OPEN stands for freestyle par excellence. With 1,500 accredited individuals from around the world – including world champions and Olympians as well as volunteers, service personnel, judges, media representatives, and sponsors – Europe's most important freestyle event is entering its 10th edition with record-breaking numbers. CHF 210,000 in prize money for the best freestylers at the FIS Freeski & Snowboard World Cup Laax, 60 side events in 18 locations, 10,000 people at the halfpipe night final on January 18, 2025, and thousands of runs through the slopestyle course. It's all set at the multi-award-winning "World's Best Freestyle Resort"!
The Freeski Ladies have the honor of opening the anniversary edition on Tuesday. The two top stars, Eileen Gu and Mathilde Gremaud, live up to their role as favorites and show how stylish it can look to ride and fly through the slopestyle course with tricks. It makes you want more!
And there's more: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are the preliminary rounds for women and men on both courses, the slopestyle and the superpipe – easily visible from the mountain station at Crap Sogn Gion as well as from the P60 slope for freestyle fans and those who are sure to be after the 10th LAAX OPEN. The decisions on who will be crowned LAAX OPEN Champion 2025 will be made in freeskiing on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., and in snowboarding on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The celebrations will also take place in the valley. A harmonious festival area has been set up at the rocksresort. All concerts and activities are free of charge for the public. Highlights include live performances by Annie Taylor (January 17), Phenomden (January 18), and MOBB DEEP (January 19).
