LAAX celebrates winter with a new opening event

Laax, December 11, 2019. On the weekend of December 13-15, 2019, LAAX will host its first Opening Jig, celebrating the start of winter with live concerts and DJs on the mountain and in the valley. With the start of daily lift operations from the Flims and Laax valley stations, the shredding can finally begin. The Opening Jig, which is the counterpart to the Closing Jig in spring, offers a variety of sounds and beats at various locations, as well as the opportunity to get up close and personal with snowboard pros. The youngest guests can also practice their first few meters on a snowboard in the Burton Riglet Park.

There's always a reason to celebrate – but this occasion is something really special! Daily lift operations will now also start from Flims at the weekend. Starting Friday, ski and snowboard enthusiasts can now take the first ride up the mountain from the valley stations in Laax and Flims every day at 8:30 a.m. and dive into winter fun. It's time to download the destination's own INSIDE LAAX app, put on your ski gear, and celebrate the cold season with music and like-minded people in the area around LAAX!

Big Season Opening Jig

After a long wait, winter is finally here! LAAX is not missing the opportunity to celebrate this with a new opening event. From Friday, December 13 to Sunday, December 15, 2019, the first Opening Jig will take place at the destination. Young and old are invited to a festival that will take place throughout the area and celebrate winter with music, contests, and shred sessions. DJs will be spinning tunes at various locations on the mountain and in the valley, such as the Satellite Bar on Crap Sogn Gion, the rocksresort, and the Riders Club, while live performances by various artists will get partygoers and winter enthusiasts in the mood.

Shredding, testing snowboards, and cash in hand for cool tricks

In addition to music and entertainment, the well-known and popular "Cash for Tricks" contest format will also be back. The coolest tricks will be rewarded with cash prizes from real snowboard pros such as Celia Petrig and Lucas Baume. True to the motto "start young," even the youngest visitors will get their money's worth at the Burton Riglet Kids Park. In the small fun park, they can practice their first moves on a snowboard and be right up there with the big kids. The opportunity to test snowboards and the "Shred with the Pros" program at the NoName Snowpark round off the event and are sure to get the hearts of every winter sports enthusiast racing.
