Three awards: LAAX is the favorite among Swiss skiers and freestylers

Laax, November 20, 2020. An eventful fall is coming to an end. Tourism regions are preparing for a challenging winter. In addition to comprehensive protection concepts, prizes and awards also help guests choose their holiday destination. LAAX received two awards at the World Ski Awards: Switzerland's Best Ski Resort and World's Best Freestyle Resort. LAAX was also once again honored in the Best Ski Resort Study for its unique snow park.

LAAX received multiple awards at this year's World Ski Awards. Although the grand gala in Kitzbühel was canceled due to the current situation, the awards ceremony went ahead as planned. The 2020 World Ski Awards ceremony was broadcast online, and LAAX took to the virtual podium twice. The destination in the Grisons mountains was named "Switzerland's Best Ski Resort." This is a coveted award that is particularly gratifying. In addition, LAAX secured victory in the "World's Best Freestyle Resort" category for the fifth time in a row, beating off international competition.

The rocksresort accommodation also secured a top three spot in the "World's Best Green Ski Hotel" category. The World Ski Awards annually select the best ski resorts in the world based on public and jury votes. The event is part of the World Travel Awards, also known as the "Oscars of the travel industry." LAAX has already received several awards at the ceremony in Kitzbühel in previous years.

The destination also received an important award from the transalpine "Best Ski Resort" study: LAAX has defended its title as the best snow park for the sixth time in a row. And in the survey on the general satisfaction of winter guests, Laax is also in the top three in comparison with all other destinations. The "Best Ski Resort Awards" are presented every two years in various categories. The winners are selected from 55 ski resorts in the Alps based on around 40,000 direct customer surveys conducted in the ski areas.
