It is still quiet at 8 a.m. at the ticket office in Flims. Unlike during the winter season and on weekends, there will be no rush today. The winter season is over, the railway employees are doing maintenance work, and the ticket office premises are being tidied up. "We're doing our spring cleaning and preparing for the summer," says Linda Januth. The 18-year-old has long hair and wears glasses. Her sweater says "Team Kassa." She is an apprentice commercial clerk with the Weisse Arena Group and is in her second year of training.

The commercial training program at the Weisse Arena Group is unique. During the three-year apprenticeship, trainees work in different departments. "It's a very varied apprenticeship; you get to see so many different areas, which I really like here," says Linda Januth. Linda Januth started her apprenticeship in reception, doing secretarial work. "There I was able to get to know WAG with its five subsidiaries and many of the employees and gain my first experiences," says Linda. She then worked in accounting. Now she is already at the end of her third stage. At the cash desk, the apprentice had direct contact with customers, advising guests and selling tickets. "At the beginning, I was still very shy and had some difficulty talking to strangers. My time at the ticket office has helped me a lot, both professionally and personally, because I am now more open," says Linda Januth with a smile on her face.

Linda Januth will soon be hanging up her cashier's sweater and joining the marketing and communications team. In May, she will be moving to a new department and will spend six months supporting the marketing and communications team in areas such as the website, the LAAX app, and much more. There is a touch of sadness surrounding this change, because: "I felt very comfortable here with the cashier team and got on well with everyone – that's not something to be taken for granted. I've grown very fond of them," says Linda Januth.

Linda Januth chose to train as a commercial clerk because it offers a good basic education. Her older sister also completed her training at the Weisse Arena Group, which is why Linda, who is from Flims, moved here. "I enjoy working in an office, I like talking to people and doing administrative tasks," she says.

In the final year of her training, she will continue to assist with events after her time with the marketing and communications team. She does not yet have any plans for the future—or at least nothing concrete. "I want to finish my apprenticeship first and then see what happens. I could definitely see myself staying here," she says. However, like many other young people, the 18-year-old can also imagine leaving the valley for a while. Until then, she will continue to support the large WAG team and fill her backpack with experiences.
