The valley station in Laax Murschetg is getting a facelift
2007 sees the start of one of the Weisse Arena Group's biggest construction projects to date: the building of the rocksresort at the valley station in Laax Murschetg. By 2009, eight cubes will have been built, designated houses A to H. These will contain modern 4-, 6-, and 8-bed apartments as well as various shops and restaurants. As a member of DesignHotels™, the rocksresort impresses with its timeless architecture, unique interior design, regional materials, and a special lighting concept.
However, the cubic buildings made of solid Vals quartzite are not only architecturally avant-garde. Their construction focuses on the responsible and sustainable use of resources and the environment. All buildings are constructed in accordance with the Minergie standard and are heated entirely with renewable energy.
Reto Gurtner, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Weisse Arena Group, on the sustainability concept at the rocksresort: "Sustainability can be simplified with good design. My eyes were opened in the early days of the environmental movement in the 1970s. When you have to make decisions that affect the entire region, the importance of such sustainable ideas cannot be overstated."
Attractive and future-oriented investment
The "buy to use and let" concept contributes to refinancing: owners who do not use their vacation apartment for their own vacations can have it rented out by the Weisse Arena Group, without any effort on their part. A pooling model is used to collect the rental income from all apartments and distribute it proportionally to the owners. The advantage for owners is that even if their apartment is not rented out, they are guaranteed rental income.
