In January 2022, the World Ski Awards will be presented once again, and LAAX has been nominated as "Switzerland's Best Ski Resort" for the ninth time in a row. LAAX has already won this award an impressive six times. LAAX is also nominated in the "World's Best Freestyle Resort" category. Since the award in the "World's Best Freestyle Resort" category was presented for the first time in 2016, LAAX has been the undisputed winner. The award has never gone to another destination.
With the rocksresort, which has been nominated as the "World's Best Green Ski Hotel," we are demonstrating that we are just as committed to sustainability as we are to freestyle, and that going green is by no means just for alternative sandal wearers. LAAX has already won this award twice with the rocksresort. The World Ski Awards are both a jury and audience award and are part of the World Travel Awards, which are considered the "Oscars of the travel industry." The awards ceremony takes place annually in Kitzbühel, Austria.
