Hundreds of freestyle enthusiasts visited the newly opened Freestyle Academy LAAX last weekend from December 14 to 15, 2024. The reason for this was the grand opening celebration of the brand-new hall in Laax Murschetg. Although it has been open to guests since August, those responsible did not want to miss the opportunity to inaugurate it properly.
Workshops, skateboarding and trampoline sessions, and concerts took place throughout the weekend – admission was free for all visitors. They were able to try their hand at skateboarding, trampolining, and parkour, and received tips from experienced coaches. Renowned figures from these sports were on hand to inspire visitors, including Flims freeskier Andri Ragettli and Latvian professional skateboarder Madars Apse. They also demonstrated their skills and were on hand to offer advice to those eager to learn.
The promotion of freestyle sports in popular sports is the focus of the newly built hall. It offers a place where children and adults, beginners and professionals can share their enthusiasm for freestyle sports and meet on equal terms. It offers the best training opportunities for professional athletes, those who want to become professionals, and those who are just there for fun. After all, that is the motto of the Freestyle Academy: freestyle is for everyone.
