Above Laax lies the Vorab glacier. In one of the most popular holiday regions in the whole of Switzerland, the snowboard and ski summer camp was still held there in mid-June until 20 years ago, but nowadays this is no longer possible due to the massive melting of the glacier. In the next 30 to 35 years we have to expect that the advance glacier will have completely disappeared due to the effects of man-made global warming.
