Shaun White's The Snow League kicks off its first global season

The first season will span three continents and take place in 2025-26 at premier winter sports resorts: Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen Snowmass, USA, Yunding Secret Garden, China, and LAAX, Switzerland.

(NEW YORK, NY / LAAX, CH – February 24, 2025) – The Snow League, the first professional winter sports league dedicated exclusively to snowboarding and freeskiing, officially announces the schedule and locations for the first season of this global contest series, which offers a record-breaking prize pool of $1.6 million. Founded in June 2024 by three-time Olympic halfpipe champion Shaun White, the league aims to redefine contest-oriented winter sports in these iconic ski resorts on three continents: Aspen, USA – Secret Garden, China – LAAX, Switzerland.

On March 7-8, 2025, 36 world-class halfpipe snowboarders will kick off the league in Aspen, Colorado, USA, with the next stop scheduled for December 4-6, 2025, at Yunding Secret Garden, China. At the 2022 Olympic venue, 16 of the world's best freeskiers will join them to compete in the halfpipe events for the rest of the inaugural season.

After the 2026 Winter Olympics, the league will return to Aspen's Buttermilk Mountain from February 26-28, 2026. The season will conclude at the iconic LAAX Halfpipe in Switzerland from March 19-21, 2026, culminating in the crowning of the very first Snow League World Champions.

Reto Gurtner, Chairman of the Board of Directors at LAAX, says: "Innovation and progress are deeply rooted in LAAX's DNA – both in snowboarding and in the way we celebrate and develop freestyle sports and their communities. We are delighted to be hosting The Snow League and to continue pushing the boundaries together."

Shaun White, founder of The Snow League and three-time Olympic halfpipe champion, says: "The Snow League brings to life the kind of unified global competition that I could only dream of during my career. We've already assembled the best athletes. Now we're delivering on our promise to host competitions at world-class resorts. Each of these stops has been selected with the riders' needs in mind. As for the halfpipes, I've personally had the pleasure of riding in all of them over the years."
