Thanks to the persistently low temperatures of recent weeks, LAAX will be able to start the winter season on Saturday, November 29, 2025, with a range of slopes around Crap Sogn Gion. However, it is not only the start of the season that is cause for celebration – LAAX has also received three awards in the run-up to the season.
On Saturday, November 29, 2025, LAAX will commence daily winter operations and officially open the 2025/26 season. Holders of a Topcard or a season pass for LAAX will receive exclusive access to the slopes on Friday, November 28, 2025, and can enjoy the first descents of the season. Three awards for LAAX at the start of the season
However, it is not just the start of the season that is cause for celebration: LAAX also secured two awards at this year's World Ski Awards: for the tenth time in a row, the "World's Best Freestyle Resort" award went to LAAX. Since the introduction of this category in 2016, LAAX has been the undisputed winner, honoring its diverse freestyle offerings with five different snow parks and two halfpipes.
The rocksresort also received an award: for the seventh time, it was named "World's Best Green Ski Hotel." Built to Minergie standards, this ski-in/ski-out hotel is committed to the sustainable use of resources, embodying the green style philosophy of LAAX.
LAAX received another honor from Skiresort.de: the resort was named the test winner in the "5-star ski resort" category. Skiresort.de, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts, has been awarding these prestigious industry prizes since 1998.
