On the first weekend in August, LAAX will once again become a hotspot for sustainable design, fair fashion, and forward-thinking consumer culture: the LAAX Vintage Days Market is back for another round, inviting visitors to enjoy a unique market experience in the heart of the rocksresort at the Laax valley station in Graubünden, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. International pioneers in fair fashion and Swiss labels will be there.
Around 20 selected labels from the fields of fashion, accessories, interior design, beauty, and lifestyle will be presenting their fairly produced, upcycled, and stylish products at the design market—from high-quality vintage items and socially committed brands to innovative circular economy projects. The rocksresort in Laax, which has already received multiple awards for its sustainable initiatives and timeless design, is the ideal venue for this event.
Creative minds for a sustainable future
All exhibitors share a high standard of sustainability, social responsibility, and strong design. The LAAX Vintage Days Market creates a space for them to break new ground with responsibility, aesthetics, and innovative strength, but also to exchange ideas and inspire each other. The diverse selection ranges from local labels to international designers, including upcycling pioneer Mei-Hui Liu from London and Andrew Logan, also from London, who has already designed accessories for Stella McCartney.
Switzerland is represented by several sustainable labels: Oy Surf develops environmentally friendly swimwear and surfwear from recycled materials. The Deborah Dominique Designs label from Flims refines second-hand clothing individually, carries out repairs, and manufactures tailor-made unique pieces – a successful combination of circular economy and craftsmanship. The ENLAIN manufactory in Laax offers construction workshops in which unique snowboards, skateboards, surfboards, and more are made from wood.
The program – A different kind of national holiday
On Friday, August 1, 2025, the event will kick off with an upcycling panel discussion and an atmospheric night market, accompanied by performances, DJ sets, and a lively atmosphere that invites visitors to stroll, discover, and network. The surrounding venues at the rocksresort will be open for further celebrations and exchanges. On Saturday, August 2, 2025, the event will continue during the day with a diverse market program featuring music, fashion, and cuisine—a marketplace as a platform for encounters, creativity, and new ideas around conscious consumption. One of the highlights: Walk-in Closet Switzerland is hosting a mini clothing swap as part of the LAAX Vintage Days Market.
Platform for fair fashion
"I'm looking forward to creative labels that bring a breath of fresh air to fashion and design with upcycling and social engagement. I find the panel discussions particularly moving, where people share their vision of a fairer and more sustainable future. And last but not least, I'm looking forward to the fresh mountain air—it makes the LAAX Vintage Days Market a place where inspiration and lightheartedness come together," says Suzanna Vock, curator of the event.
Luca Kuppelwieser, event manager at LAAX, adds: "It is a matter close to LAAX's heart to create a platform with the LAAX Vintage Days Market that raises awareness of sustainable fashion and social engagement. For our guests, the event not only offers the opportunity to discover unique and fair fashion, but also to be inspired and become part of a more conscious community."
