Every year, Pro Velo Switzerland’s nationwide ‘bike to work’ campaign motivates thousands of people to cycle to work in May and June. Across all registered companies, a total of 29,180,331 kilometres were covered and 4,202 tonnes of CO₂ were saved.
The Weisse Arena Group took part again in 2025. Thirty employees in eight teams covered a total of 6,004 kilometres, saving 865 kilograms of CO₂.For 15 years now, the ‘bike to work’ challenge has been a fixed part of the Weisse Arena Group’s annual calendar. The aim is to promote environmentally friendly mobility and offer a healthy alternative to motorised transport. A total of 569 cycling days were recorded, which corresponds to 62% of all possible journeys to work.
Results of the best teams
The team ‘Gebirgsraser’ recorded the most cycling days with 110 days and a cycling share of 89%. Team members Elea Stamm, Patric Perez and Yannik Wicki covered a total of 473 kilometres and saved 68 kilograms of CO₂. In second place was the team ‘#LAAX BABY’ with 843 kilometres, 93 cycling days and a cycling share of 74%, and with 121 kilograms of CO₂ the highest savings among all teams. Third place went to the team ‘Schnuiz&Bregypants’ with 671 kilometres, 72 cycling days and a cycling share of 64%. The CO₂ savings amounted to 97 kilograms.
Comparison with last year
Compared to 2024, slightly fewer employees took part this year (2024: 37 people in 10 teams). The total distance covered was also slightly lower than last year at 6,004 kilometres (2024: 8,291 kilometres). Nevertheless, this year’s result shows that commitment to climate-friendly mobility within the Weisse Arena Group remains high.
